My Morning with God-
The Same Spirit Lives in You
Scripture: Romans 8:11 (KJV)
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
There are moments in life when something can feel dead.
A dream can feel dead.
A relationship can feel dead.
Your motivation can feel dead.
Your confidence can feel dead.
Even the vision God gave you can appear lifeless when you have waited longer than you expected.
But Romans 8:11 reminds us of something extraordinary: the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in us.
Think about that.
The resurrection was not simply an event we celebrate once a year. Resurrection power is part of the life of every believer because the Holy Spirit dwells within us.
There Is Power Living in You
Sometimes we pray as though God is far away, but the Holy Spirit is not distant. He dwells within us.
That means when you feel weak, there is strength within you that does not originate from you.
When you feel discouraged, there is hope within you that circumstances cannot manufacture.
When you feel like quitting, there is a Spirit within you that can quicken you—revive you, strengthen you, awaken you, and breathe life into you again. Ok I
You may be tired, but you are not empty.
You may have been knocked down, but you do not have to remain there.
You may have experienced disappointment, loss, rejection, or delay, but none of those things have the final authority over what God has spoken concerning your life.
Stop Pronouncing Dead What God Can Resurrect
Sometimes we bury things too quickly.
We decide the opportunity is over.
We decide we are too old.
We decide too much time has passed.
We decide we missed our chance.
We decide the dream cannot happen because we cannot see how it could happen.
But resurrection teaches us that God does some of His greatest work when human possibilities have been exhausted.
The tomb looked final.
The stone looked final.
Friday looked final.
But Sunday proved that what looks finished to us may simply be waiting for the power of God.
So before you pronounce something dead, ask God:
“Lord, what are You saying about this?”
Because if God still has purpose attached to it, the grave cannot cancel it.
Resurrection Power Is Also for Your Daily Life
Romans 8:11 isn’t only about what God can resurrect around us. It speaks to what His Spirit can do within us.
Sometimes the thing that needs resurrection is our faith.
Sometimes it is our discipline.
Sometimes it is our prayer life.
Sometimes it is our courage to start again.
Sometimes we don’t need another opportunity—we need fresh strength to walk through the opportunity God has already placed before us.
The Holy Spirit can breathe life into tired places.
He can renew your mind.
He can restore your passion.
He can strengthen your body.
He can awaken gifts you stopped using.
He can give you courage to move when fear has kept you standing still.
What Has Been Sleeping in You?
Maybe there is a business you were supposed to start.
Maybe there is a book you were supposed to write.
Maybe there is a ministry you were supposed to build.
Maybe there is a conversation you have been avoiding.
Maybe God has been calling you into a new season, but fear keeps reminding you of everything that could go wrong.
Today, Romans 8:11 reminds you:
You are not stepping into your assignment alone.
The Spirit of God goes with you.
The same Spirit that brought life into a tomb can breathe life into your vision.
The same Spirit that raised Christ can raise your faith.
The same Spirit that conquered death can give you strength to confront whatever is standing between you and obedience.
Your Morning Declaration
Today I will not allow fear, disappointment, age, delay, or past failures to determine my future.
The Spirit of God lives in me.
I have resurrection power living in me.
Therefore, I will rise again.
I will dream again.
I will believe again.
I will build again.
I will pray again.
And when God says move, I will move.
Morning Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in me.
Breathe fresh life into every place in me that has become tired, discouraged, fearful, or stagnant. Revive my faith. Renew my strength. Restore my vision. Awaken every gift and assignment You have placed inside of me.
Lord, help me stop calling dead what You have not finished with. Lord created me a clean heart renew a right spirit with me.
Give me discernment to know what I should release and courage to resurrect what You are calling me to pursue again.
Today I choose life.
I choose faith.
I choose obedience.
I choose to rise.
Because Your Spirit lives in me, I know that what I cannot accomplish in my own strength can be accomplished through Your power working within me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Something to Think About
What have you considered dead that God may be calling you to believe Him for again?
Don’t just think about it today. Pray over it.
Then ask God:
“Lord, what is my next act of obedience?”
Because resurrection isn’t just about getting back up.
It’s about getting up with purpose.
