MY Morning with God-Ps 3:5 NIV

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding."

This verse reminds us of the importance of placing our trust in God wholeheartedly. In a world filled with uncertainties and challenges, it serves as a guiding light for those seeking spiritual wisdom.

Trusting in the Lord with all our hearts implies surrendering our worries, doubts, and fears to Him. It's an acknowledgment that our finite understanding may not always grasp the bigger picture, but God's infinite wisdom surpasses our comprehension. His thoughts are so much bigger than ours!

The second part of the verse advises us not to lean on our own understanding. In our human nature, we often try to figure things out on our own, relying solely on our intellect and reasoning. However, this verse invites us to relinquish that self-reliance and, instead, lean on God's understanding and guidance. He is here for us, and in fact, he instructs us to cast ( as in throw ) our cares upon him for he cares for us. Whew, that should give us a feeling of relief.

In essence, Proverbs 3:5 encourages us to cultivate a deep and unwavering trust in God, recognizing His sovereignty and wisdom in every aspect of our lives. By doing so, we open ourselves to a path of peace, guidance, and fulfillment as we navigate the journey of faith.

Let us Pray, Dear Heavenly Father we thank you for your divine wisdom, strength, love, and understanding of your children. In this, we rest, live, and have our being. Please help us to remember you as our leader and guide so we don't falter. Your love for us uplifts us above the difficulties of life and the pitfalls set in wait for us. Your peace is surpassing all our understanding. We thank you for your Word and our leaders and pastors who support us in our walk with you. We love you and give you all the praise in Jesus's name Amen
