My Morning with God- Luke 11:42

In this passage of scripture.Jesus condemns the Pharisees for their hypocrisy and lack of true righteousness. He says, "But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others."

This verse serves as a powerful reminder for us as Christians to not just go through the motions of religious practices, but to truly live out our faith in a way that honors God. It's not enough to just follow the rules or go through the motions of religious rituals. We must also show love and compassion towards others, and seek justice for the marginalized and oppressed.

Jesus is calling us to have a heart that is fully devoted to God, not just in outward appearance but in our actions and attitudes as well. We are called to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Let us not fall into the trap of empty religion, but instead strive to live out our faith in a way that truly pleases God. May we be known for our love, compassion, and pursuit of justice, just as Jesus taught us.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your Word this morning reminding us of our true calling to love you and others in the correct manner. I am thankful and grateful to you for your daily guidance to me of how to love you , your people and even myself. I pray you create in Me a clean heart and renew the right Spirit within me so that I exhibit the true traits of Jesus the author and finisher of my faith .I love you Lord with all my heart . My goal in this life is to exhibit true Love and compassion towards your people . Live a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus name Amen!
