📖 Devotional: “The God Who Answers the Call”
Scripture: Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
💡 Reflection
Jeremiah 33:3 is often called God’s telephone number so let’s call him ! This is a direct invitation into divine conversation. This was spoken to Jeremiah during a time of confinement, isolation, and national crisis. Jeremiah was physically in prison, but God’s voice could still reach him. And that teaches us something profound:
Your circumstance can never silence God’s access to you.
You may feel confined by bills, by grief, by uncertainty, by delays, or by the weight of responsibility. You may not feel seen, supported, or understood. But here in this verse, the Lord extends a personal invitation:
“Call unto Me.”
Not your title. Not your strength.
Not your credentials.
You.
God isn’t asking for perfection; He is asking for presence.
He isn’t waiting for your performance; He is waiting for your prayer.
And He doesn’t stop there—He makes a bold promise:
“…and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things…”
God’s answers are not recycled. They are not limited to your environment, your background, or your resources. When God answers, He reveals what was hidden, what is possible, and what you never even knew to ask for.
Sometimes the enemy tries to convince us to stay quiet
To suffer quietly.
To push through alone.
But this scripture reminds us:
You are one prayer away from clarity.
One call away from breakthrough.
One moment of surrender away from something mighty.
🕊️ Personal Application
As a woman who leads, builds, nurtures, and carries many people, you often pour out more than you receive. But Jeremiah 33:3 invites you to shift your posture:
✨ Instead of carrying everything—call.
✨ Instead of guessing your next step—call.
✨ Instead of trying to fix what you can’t control—call.
Your calling out creates an opportunity for God’s supernatural revealing.
He will show you how to build the vision he gave you.
He will show you how to navigate the challenge.
He will show you the connections, the opportunities, and the answers
that are beyond what you know.
This is the season where God is not only speaking to you—
He is showing you great and mighty things.
🙏 Prayer
Father, today I respond to Your invitation.
I call upon You—not from a place of fear, but from a place of faith where your power reigns!
Show me what I cannot see.
Reveal what is hidden.
Guide my steps and illuminate the path before me.
Thank You for being a God who answers, a God who reveals, and a God who still performs mighty works in the lives of Your people.
Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
