My Morning with God- Genesis 12:1-4

✨ Now or Never – A Devotional

Scripture: Genesis 12:1-4 (KJV)

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him…”

From My Heart:

Yesterday at The City Worship Center, the word was Now or Never—and it pierced my spirit. As I listened, God reminded me of Abram’s call. He didn’t have all the details. He didn’t have a map, a timeline, or even a full understanding of what God was doing. He did not make a pros and cons list for guidance. But what he did have was a word from the Lord—and he acted on it immediately.

I thought about how many times God has whispered to me, nudged me, or even pushed me toward a new assignment, a new business, a new level in my walk with Him—and I hesitated. I wanted confirmation after confirmation. I wanted all the steps laid out before I moved. But the truth is, faith rarely works that way. Faith says, move now, trust later.

Abram’s “yes” didn’t just change his life—it set the course for generations to come. And I realize, my “yes” could do the same. Sometimes, obedience is urgent. God is setting things in motion that require me to move now. If I wait until it’s convenient, comfortable, or clear, I may miss the window entirely.

Today, I hear God saying, Catherine, it’s now or never. That dream, that vision, that ministry—stop overthinking it. Stop waiting for everything to line up. If God spoke it, He’s already gone before me to prepare the way.

Reflection Question:

What is the one thing God has been calling you to do that you’ve been delaying? What would happen if you decided to obey Him today?

Prayer:

Father, I thank You for reminding me that delayed obedience is still disobedience. Give me the courage to move when You say move, even when I can’t see the whole picture. Like Abram, I choose to trust Your voice over my fears. I declare today—It’s now or never. Let my obedience open doors not just for me, but for generations to come. Dear father, create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me . In Jesus’ name, Amen.
