My Morning with God: 1 John 1:9

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

If we admit that we have sand and confess, he is faithful, and just and will forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1John 1:9 (AMPC)

It is important to be sincerely Sorry if we do something wrong, but it doesn't help anybody for us to openly mourn over everything that is wrong with us. We will never mature in faith if we stay angry at ourselves. We ought to repent of our sins, receive his forgiveness of them, and then forget it. We must not drag memories of our old behavior around with us all the time. Sooner or later, we must let go and say "well, I made a mistake, because I am just an old cracked pot"and then we must let God's light shine through the holes in our surface which will illuminate any dark place we find ourselves.

Dear Lord, thank you so much for your loving kindness towards me, your forgiveness to me. I come before you this morning as your child asking that you forgive the sin that is within me. Thank you for your love, and the blood of Jesus Christ, which makes me clean. Continue to lead me daily as I walk in your purpose. I decree, and I declare on this day that your purpose will be revealed in my life and the lives of my children as well. You are a great God, worthy of all the praise and honor. Continue father to create in me a clean heart oh, lord, renew a right spirit within me. In Jesus name amen!
