My Morning with God- 2 Corinthians 2:11

As a veteran nurse, I reflects on 2 Corinthians 2:11, which warns, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”My  decades in healthcare have shown me how bitterness and unforgiveness can fester, much like untreated wounds. Paul’s words reminded me that Satan thrives on division and despair, using these to weaken relationships and communities.

In my  work, I  have seen the healing power of forgiveness. Just as a nurse cleanses wounds to prevent infection, believers must forgive to protect their hearts from Satan’s schemes. Today, I pray for strength to forgive quickly and love deeply, knowing that unity in Christ is the best defense against the enemy.

We can apply the lesson from 2 Corinthians 2:11 in your daily nursing practice by focusing on forgiveness, compassion, and restoration. When patients or colleagues make mistakes, avoid judgment and instead offer understanding and support. Forgive quickly, remembering that holding onto resentment can create division and hinder teamwork. Show compassion by listening and addressing concerns with kindness, which fosters trust and healing. Additionally, use moments of conflict as opportunities for restoration, promoting reconciliation and unity. By doing so, you disrupt negativity and reflect God’s love in our  caregiving role.

Let’s Pray- Dear Heavenly Father I pray that every good thing comes from God so I claim this day for Jesus Christ. I accept the strategy that the Holy Spirit provides for this day. I will enact the will of the Trinity showing Gods love through out this World today and every day. May God bring lasting fruitful relationships for me and my family on today. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right Spirit in me. In Jesus name I pray Amen
