My Morning with God: 1 Samuel 17:45-46

David replied to the Philistine,"You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven's Armies... Today the Lord will conquer you."

1 Samuel 17:45-46, NLT

Our victory depends on a continuous application of God's Word against the whiles of devil. The battle has already been won, we must simply walk it out. I have to remind myself that God is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Let us not be discouraged because it seems like a never-ending battle. Take heart that this battle will end in Victory. We must continually defeat evil daily with the Word and the Spirit of God that lives in us.

Dear Heavenly Father, the author and finisher of our faith. We come to you at the start of our day so you know we need you to conquer the enemy that goes to and fro on this earth. We see all the evil that is raging in our world today. We thank you for the gift of the Spirit to identify and the strategy to apply against it. Cover your people throughout today for we go forth in your name. Create in me Lord a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. I speak Victory today and every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
