My Morning with God: John 17: 1-3

Updated: Jun 18, 2022

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, andsais,Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son so that thy Son may Glorify thee: As thou has given him power over flesh that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal , that they might know thee the only true living God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17: 1-3

The majority of the scriptures above are red-letter. In this, we know is Jesus speaking to God the Father. In reading this scripture, He is requesting that God give Him glory so that He may not only glorify Him (God) but that He requires it to do what He was sent to do, deliver us. In essence this shows us that God does not request anything from us that He has not already given us the power to do through our relationship with him. He doesn't make a withdrawal without having first made the deposit into us. So when he says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, we can be sure that He has already given it to us. This Is fabulous!!

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for all the deposits you have made in me. Help me to use them for the uplifting of your Kingdom. Let this mind be in me that is in Christ Jesus. I speak your Word over my Life and the Life of my family and friends. Let your child who reads this prayer immediately feel your Love, Goodness, and Power. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray Amen.

Let me share this beautiful moment with my granddaughter as she went to her first dance!! She's growing up so fast, Lord give me strength! Be blessed and have a blessed day.
